Lapeer East High School sewing project is featured in County Press article

A Lapeer East High School sewing project that made dresses for girls in Africa from donated pillowcases was the subject of a feature story in The County Press.

Congratulations to teacher Terry Brennan and her students for this recognition.

Lapeer West Softball team honored for team, coach and player by The County Press

The Lapeer West High School Softball team and its coach, Brad Walker, were honored recently by The County Press. The team was named "Softball Team of the Year" and Coach Walker received Coach of the Year honors. The story is here.

Also, Emily Jones, a first-team All-State selection, was named The County Press' "Player of the Year" for softball. That story is here. Also in that article which names the 2009 Dream Team, are Lapeer West players, Bridgett Miller and Alyssa Sharrard and Lapeer East's Kate Ayres.

Lapeer West graduate wins t-shirt design contest for the 2009 Lapeer Days

Cramton work, new Lapeer Community High School facility underway this summer

Work on converting and updating the Cramton facility into the new Lapeer Community High School building is underway. Completion is schedule for late August and in time for students at LCHS to attend classes in their new school.
