Lapeer East High School’s “College Night,” an event that has been popular with hundreds of area families each year, is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, October 19th at the high school, 933 S. Saginaw Street in Lapeer. (Photo from the 2008 event)Organized by East’s counseling staff, the College Night event is a one-stop shopping chance for students and parents to get information about dozens of colleges and universities, including nearly all of Michigan’s public and private post-secondary education programs.
Last year’s event included 56 post-secondary education programs, including community colleges within an hour radius and many technical schools. Many out-of-state colleges and universities also participate in College Night.
Lapeer East counselors will also present sessions on financial aid, college applications and testing.
