Zemmer Middle School construction update - March 2010

We've been back over to visit the ongoing construction work at the future Zemmer Middle School. Work is progressing on schedule for a fall 2010 opening. If you'd like to peek over our shoulder at the work go to the District photo gallery for a few more photos.

Zemmer construction moves onward and upward

Real changes can now be seen at the former Zemmer Junior High School site. Construction on the expansion and modernization of the building are well underway.

Masonry work will transform not just the appearance but the size and utility of the new Zemmer Middle School.

New photos of Zemmer construction work

Late last week, new photos were taken of the construction work at the Zemmer Junior High School campus. Outside grading and interior demolition are well underway.

Mayfield Elementary School undergoing parking lot, traffic safety improvements

Parking lot construction work on making a safer pick up and drop off for students at Mayfield Elementary School is underway at the school on Plum Creek Road in Mayfield Township.

When complete, there will be additional parking, a new bus loop around the back of the building and a new pick up and drop off scheme at the school.

Cramton work, new Lapeer Community High School facility underway this summer

Work on converting and updating the Cramton facility into the new Lapeer Community High School building is underway. Completion is schedule for late August and in time for students at LCHS to attend classes in their new school.

Finishing work, construction continues at future Rolland-Warner Middle School site

Finishing work on the gymnasium, 7th and 8th grade classrooms, offices continues at future Rolland-Warner Middle School site.

Work begins on remodeling of north wing of the building and main entrance. More photos can be seen here.

Construction work on new science laboratories continues at Lapeer East High School

Old equipment has been removed and construction work is continuing on the installation of new sinks and equipment at Lapeer East High School science classrooms. To see more photos go to the District's photo gallery here.

Work on Lapeer West science classrooms, new athletic weight room underway

Construction work that began immediately after the end of classes is well underway to remodel science classrooms and laboratories at Lapeer West High School.

Because the construction involved a space formerly used as an athletic weight room, work is also underway in converting three former classrooms into a new weight room.

When complete when students return in the fall of 2009, students at Lapeer West will be working in new, state-of-the-art science laboratories. More photos are available here.

Work on Lapeer West High School auxiliary gymnasium continues at good pace

Construction of the new Lapeer West High School auxiliary gymnasium continues at a good pace. Scheduled completion of the gym is expected by start of classes in the fall of 2009.
